The marquee layout must accommodate a central performance area for the dhol players with enough space for the crowd to gather around and dance, low cushion seating zones arranged around the perimeter for floor-seated guests, henna artist stations positioned with good light and enough space for guests to queue and sit, and food presentation areas that keep the service flow separate from the dance space. Mehndi aesthetics demand lighting that is rich, warm, and colourful — very different from the restrained white and ivory palette of a typical Western wedding. Our LED colour wash systems can flood the interior walls with any colour or combination, cycling through sequences timed to the music if desired. Uplighting on the perimeter creates a dramatic wash against the lining. Canopy fairy lights across the ceiling provide a base layer of warmth. For the entrance, we design an arch or canopy treatment that signals the celebration to guests arriving. All lighting is dimmable and controllable on the night, so the mood can shift from the bright energy of the dhol opening to a warmer, softer tone as the evening progresses.
